Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) is an independent Uniting Church school for boys and girls. Students enjoy the benefits of both a single sex and co-educational education as they progress through the different sections of the school.
PEGS has a school population of approximately 2200 students and 350 staff across three campuses within 10 to 12 kilometres from the city of Melbourne. The school also has a camp at Lake Eildon.

Aims of the school
PEGS aims to develop in each student an awareness of his or her intellectual, artistic, spiritual and recreational potential and an understanding of his or her cultural history. Educational philosophy

The school has an established reputation for the high achievement of its students in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). Whilst PEGS is committed to a rigorous academic programme it is also sensitive to individual abilities and circumstances.
