PLC Sydney is a non-selective
school for girls from Reception to Year 12. The school currently
enrols 1300 students, including 65 boarders. The college
is a school of the Presbyterian Church. Since 1888, PLC Sydney
has been preparing girls to fulfil their role as women in
the community. Just as this role has now changed, so has
the work of the College.

Today's students are offered a comprehensive
preparation in all fields: academic studies, spiritual development,
the creative arts, sports and recreation. The degree of excellence
in education, a hallmark of the College, has continued from those
early days in 1888 to the present. Throughout the world, the name
PLC is associated with excellence in its schooling and quality
of its graduates.

In a unique setting in
Croydon, an inner western suburb of Sydney, the grand buildings
of the College stand within 5 hectares of historic grounds
and fields. PLC is located within 15 minutes of the city's
central business district, Sydney University, the University
of Technology and the Australian Catholic University. The
Homebush Olympic site is 10 minutes away to the west of
the College.
The College is well served by public transport, being situated
adjacent to Croydon Railway Station. Day students come to
PLC from all regions of the greater metropolitan area.

Accommodation is available for 65 boarders, who are drawn from New South Wales country regions, overseas countries, and some from Sydney itself.
